Leaving Certificate results 2011

St. Columba’s College is pleased to publish its initial statistical analysis of its Leaving Certificate results for 2011. An average points score of 448, whilst not as high as last year’s 459, nevertheless represents another year of outstanding achievement on the part of our pupils and their teachers. I wish to congratulate all concerned on the commendable effort they have put into achieving these excellent results and I am confident that the class of 2011 will go on to be equally successful in their future careers.    

  • the average points score for the class of 2011 was 448, the second highest in recent years
  • 31% of candidates scored 500 points or more
  • 55% of candidates scored 450 points or more
  • 78% of candidates scored 400 points or more
  • 87% of candidates scored 350 points or more
  • 91% of candidates scored 300 points or more
  • 75% of candidates achieved A, B  or C at honours level
