Gala Concert 2012

Gala Concert 2012

We are delighted to announce details of this year's Gala Concert, which takes place in the Big Schoolroom on Saturday 19th May at 8pm. This year is our tenth, and follows on from hugely successful events in the past, all starring musical talent in the College, as well as visiting stars such as Finghin Collins, Regina Nathan, Cora Venus Lunny and, last year, The Key Notes.

This year our guest is Eamonn Mulhall, a young Irish tenor who is making many waves in the singing world. To see why, click here and hear why, as he sings 'Il mio tesoro' from Don Giovanni.

Pupil soloists this year will include Lingfan Gao (piano), Clara Booth (harp), Siobhán Brady (cello - both Clara and Siobhán are in the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland), Emma Moore (violin), Kezia Wright (voice) and Molly Buckingham (voice). The evening will be completed by several performances from the Chapel Choir and the special
Festival Choir, including Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine and opera choruses such as Va, Pensiero from Verdi's Nabucco.

Prize-winning poster by Molly Dunne (click here for a closer view).
