Leaving Certificate Results 2009  

Congratulations are due to the class of 2009 on achieving such outstanding Leaving Certificate results.The Statistical Analysis accompanying this text will give full details but I would particularly like to draw attention to the following:   

  • An average points score of 445 per candidate is our highest ever and, once again, will see us among the highest achieving schools in Ireland.
  • Two candidates achieved maximum points (ie 600).One candidate achieved 7 x A1 and an A2.
  • 32% of candidates (1 in 3) achieved 500 points or more.
  • 61% of candidates achieved 450 points or more.
  • 75% of candidates achieved 400 points or more.
  • 90% of candidates achieved 350 points or more.
  • 95% of candidates achieved 300 points or more.
  • 78% of candidates achieved a grade A, B or C at honours level.
  • An average of 425 points per candidate over the past five years gives an indication of consistently high scores.
