Foundation Marketing and Events Coordinator – part-time 3 month contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and organised Marketing and Events Coordinator to support the delivery of some key alumni events for St. Columba’s College with associated marketing, social media and administrative activities.

This role is ideal for a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in events, communications, sustainability and alumni relations.

Key Responsibilities

Event Management

  • Support in planning and delivering key events.
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers, speakers and partners.
  • Manage event timelines, logistics, registrations and on-site support.
  • Track budgets and support post-event reporting and evaluation.

Marketing & Communications

  • Draft and schedule emails, website updates and marketing materials.
  • Plan, draft and schedule content for LinkedIn and Instagram platforms.
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond appropriately.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and prepare summary reports.

Administration

  • Maintain records, databases and filing systems.
  • Draft correspondence and internal documents.
  • Provide general administrative and project coordination support.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Attributes

  • Experience (academic, voluntary or professional) in event coordination, marketing and social media management.
  • Strong literacy skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable creating content for LinkedIn and digital platforms.
  • Organised, efficient and able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Positive, proactive can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Desirable

  • Business-minded and commercially aware.
  • Experience using Canva, LinkedIn Campaign Manager or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks or environmental initiatives.
  • Basic budget tracking or reporting experience.

Contract & Compensation

  • 12 week contract.
  • Equivalent to €30k annual salary (pro-rata).
  • 20 hours/week.
  • Role is based on-site in Dublin.
  • Lunch is provided during term time.
  • 3-month contract with a view to extending.
